The device is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that operates with 5 units of 12V / 7Ah lead-acid batteries, charging the batteries when there is mains power and producing a 220V / 50Hz pure sine signal when the power goes out. It is specifically designed for elevator control panels that contain a speed control device and is not suitable for directly operating the elevator traction motor.
Unlike ordinary UPS systems, this device provides a pure sine output and delivers a power supply performance at least equivalent to mains quality. The advanced charging algorithm is designed to ensure maximum service life from the batteries. The output of the device is isolated from the mains. However, when the mains power is available, the device transfers the mains supply to its output, meaning the output is not isolated from the mains in such instances.
The device comes in a durable, compact, painted sheet metal enclosure designed for mounting in elevator control panels.
